Early on Tuesday morning, the fire brigade of the fire station 4 (Hörde) was called to a traffic accident at the intersection of An der Goymark and Benninghofer Straße in Dortmund-Hörde at 5:50 am. At the scene, two collided vehicles were found, one of them lying on its roof, each with one person involved. While one person was able to free themselves from the vehicle, the second person in the car on its roof was quickly rescued by the fire brigade through the rear doors. Both people were only slightly injured and were taken care of by the ambulance service and brought to the hospital for further evaluation.
The exact circumstances of the cause of the accident are being investigated by the police. After about twenty minutes of operation, the 16 firefighters were able to return to the station.
