China Secures Winter Gas Supply with Arctic Imports
In a bid to address the severe shortage of natural gas in northern China, China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) has announced plans to increase imports from the Yamal natural gas project in the Arctic region. The project, located in the resource-rich Arctic region, is expected to play a crucial role in bolstering China’s energy security by providing a steady and reliable supply of natural gas.
Jiang Qi, the general manager of CNPC Russia, a subsidiary of CNPC, highlighted the significance of China’s imports from the Yamal project in boosting the country’s oil and gas reserves.
