Paul Pogba is now free to sign with a new team at any time. Juventus Turin has agreed to dissolve his contract, which was originally set to expire in 2026, so any potential buyer won’t even have to pay a transfer fee.
The central midfielder’s goal seems to be to sign with a club from one of Europe’s top leagues. According to ‘ESPN,’ Pogba believes that doing so will increase his chances of being called up to the French national team.
A return to Manchester United doesn’t seem to be in the cards at the moment. There were reports that the 91-time international wanted to train with the Red Devils, but Fabrizio Romano has denied this claim.
Having gone 18 months without playing a competitive match, finding the right club may prove challenging for Pogba. Although the 31-year-old technically gifted midfielder is currently keeping fit in Miami, he hasn’t played in a match for over a year.
Furthermore, Pogba won’t be eligible to play again until March. In August 2023, he tested positive for synthetic testosterone, leading to his exclusion from team training since then. It remains to be seen whether Pogba can reach the same level of performance as he did in his earlier days.
