The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) stated that all incidents and potential threats are being taken seriously. President Joe Biden condemned the threats. There have been bomb threats, as well as incidents where the police were alerted and sent to the residence of the individuals under false pretenses, said Trump’s spokesperson Karoline Leavitt.
Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, nominated by Trump for the position of UN ambassador, said her house in New York was targeted by a bomb threat. She was on her way home to New York with her husband and young son from Washington when she learned of the threat.
Lee Zeldin, nominated to lead the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), also reported receiving threats. “A pipe bomb threat was sent to our house today with a pro-Palestinian message directed at my family and me,” he wrote in online posts. He and his family were not at home and were safe.

Matt Gaetz, Trump’s original choice for Attorney General, also stated that he had been threatened. Former football player Scott Turner, who is set to become the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, also claimed to have received threats.
