The victim underwent emergency surgery at the Feldkirch State Hospital, and his condition is currently stable according to the police.
Arrest and Investigation
After the attack, the suspected perpetrator managed to flee the scene. However, following extensive investigations by the Rankweil and Sulz police stations, the 20-year-old suspect was identified and arrested on Sunday. During a search of his residence, law enforcement officers were able to seize the alleged weapon used in the crime. The State Criminal Police Office of Vorarlberg has taken over further investigations, which are ongoing. The suspect will be transferred to Feldkirch Prison on the orders of the Feldkirch Public Prosecutor’s Office on Monday.
