Poland demands access to the secret attachments of President Selenskyj’s “Victory Plan.” Despite massive support for Ukraine, the neighboring country has so far been denied access.
Poland is requesting access to the secret attachments of the victory plan presented by President Wolodymyr Selenskyj of Ukraine. This was stated by the Deputy Polish Foreign Minister Wladyslaw Teofil Bartoszewski to the Polish Press Agency “PAP.” According to the “Kyiv Independent,” the plan consists of five main points and three confidential attachments.
Bartoszewski emphasized Poland’s significant military support for Ukraine, as reported by “RBC Ukraine”: “We provided crucial military assistance to Ukraine because when Germany only talked about sending helmets, we delivered 320 tanks.”
“Our contribution was obviously substantial, especially at the beginning when it was most urgently needed.” He stressed, however, that Poland has not received all the details of the plan. “The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs will certainly discuss this with the Ukrainian side as we are in constant contact,” Bartoszewski added.
Selenskyj presents Victory Plan – not all countries are allowed to see the attachments
Last week, the Ukrainian President presented his victory plan during a visit to Brussels, as reported by “RBC Ukraine.” According to the Ukrainian news agency, most of the EU heads of state and government expressed their support for the plan.
However, Selenskyj also stated that Ukraine would not disclose the contents of the secret attachments of the victory plan to certain countries, particularly those that do not support Ukraine.
Tusk supports Ukraine’s NATO membership
According to the “Kyiv Independent,” the plan includes demands for an invitation to NATO membership, defense issues, deterrence of Russian aggression, economic growth and cooperation, and a security architecture for the post-war period.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk recently stated that the plan would be reassessed after the U.S. presidential election. Tusk emphasized Poland’s unchanged support for Ukraine’s NATO membership: “We stand in solidarity with Ukraine on this matter.”
Since the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022, Poland has been one of the strongest supporters of Ukraine, as reported by the “Kyiv Independent.” The country provided billions in military, economic, and humanitarian aid and welcomed millions of Ukrainian refugees.
In addition to Poland’s support, other countries like Great Britain have also utilized frozen Russian assets to provide financial assistance to Ukraine. Furthermore, there have been reports of a Russian commander being killed in retaliation for an attack on a Ukrainian shopping center.
The situation in Ukraine is constantly evolving, and the support from various countries is crucial to help the nation recover and rebuild in the aftermath of the conflict.
