A Canadian regional airline’s Boeing 737-400 had to make an emergency landing at Montréal-Mirabel Airport on Wednesday (November 27) due to an issue with the landing gear. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada reported that the approximately 35-year-old Nolinor jet with registration C-GGWX landed with its left main gear not deployed. A photo shared on social media shows the aircraft tilted to the left on the runway, with one engine touching the ground.
The Nolinor charter flight N5-662 departed Quebec at 10:50 am local time bound for Wabush Airport in Newfoundland and Labrador. However, it had to divert to Mirabel. All 87 passengers and crew members were unharmed.
Nolinor stated that an investigation to determine the cause of the incident has been launched and the company is fully cooperating with the authorities.
